Anyone going this weekend??

I'm going Saturday (5th Feb) on me T. Rain, snow or shine.

I'll make sure the gold is extra blingy :yes so pop over and say hello if you're going.

:bounce

I think (not confirmed yet) that Liz & I are going down Saturday. We'll go on the train though, 200 miles of motorway in Feb isn't good, bike or car.

You're right there - last two years just about made it home in heavy falling snow. Forecast this weekend seems better (or milder, at least!).

Yep,going on sunday with a couple of mates. We've got some free tickets,so it would be rude not to.

Don't know, Pikey. Had tickets but couldn't get there 'coz of the snow last month. Never been before.
London seems ok. Indoor 'racing' this year - should be interesting!

Me and four mates are coming up on the train from Bris on Saturday. A day of shiny bikes followed by a few beers and a curry - sweet as! :thumbup

Is this different, better, worse than the NEC show?
Its a smaller show than the NEC,but most of the traders are selling decent stuff, instead of the usual NEC tat.Food and drink prices are quite reasonable too.
This year there is some sort of stunt show/racing going on,.......all at extra cost to the punter.

Bats, if you go ring me when you get there. I'll be there with a few of the boys....

last time i went to a bike show in london was when THE bike show was at Earls Court, showing my age now ....

Blimey, thats brought back some memories.Back in the '70's,my dad used to take me down to London for the bike show.We went midweek so it meant that I had a day off from school.I remember staring in awe at the then new Honda CBX 6 cylinder.Huge crowds back then,.....am I right in thinking the show was on two floors?

i think so keith, was a long time ago though, lost a few million brain cells since then !!

Should be there sunday, will be riding as only live just outside London. Went to both last year actually prefer the excel one its less pretentious that the nec and as mentioned more reasonable cost wise than nec.
best bit is if you have loud cans as you park in the spare covered halls and they create a total racket oh and look out for the mcn and fuel girls always worth a glance..!

Well I've been and now I'm back, and what I would like to know, Mr Aprilia, is where was the Tuono V4 ffs?? :banghead

You get the feeling Aprilia just can't be asked.

Good blast there and back in the wind on the T though.

Agreed, NO TUONO V4 !!! bunch of a**e..

aside from the failure of the v4 to make an appearance, thought the show was a bit pants actually!! don't think I will bother next year...

Maldroid - which route did you ride up to the show?

I was pissed off there was no Tuono so I asked the bint on the Aprilia stand wtf? She explained there was only one V4 T in the UK (the one at the NEC show) and that Aprilia in Italy wanted it back so back it went. She reckons the first batch to go the press for road testing will be in in early March. Looking forward to seeing what the mags make of the new T (albeit most of them print bollocks).

I thought the show itself was predictable ( a kind of biking car bot sale) but the Revolution show was good fun - Chili dropped his bike right in front of us, and Douggie Lampkin showed what proper bike control is all about!
