Link pipe seperation

Hi guys, don’t suppose anyone has any ideas on how to separate the link pipe for my carbon can from the exhaust pipe work?

I tried swapping the carbon over with the standard before the mot is due just in case there is an issue with my can and it’s stuck in there pretty well

To honest I don’t think there will be an issue but if there is it would be nice to know that I can swap it over in a couple of mins and get it back to the test station.

Have you tried spraying some wd40 into the joint, let it soak in, and gently twist side to side until it frees off :dunno

Not yet, might have a go tomorrow.

I thought about trying a car oil filter wrench on it but im worried about putting too much force on it.

Try a little bit of heat on it dude.

when re fitting use exhaust paste....stops it getting stuck then......:thumbup

As Ritch says try it while its still hot after a run out :thumbup a hot exhaust will help the wd40 soak in better too :thumbup

Rubber mallet, hit the part the springs clip into firmly no to hard tho.
