Yesterday I fitted a Lightech quick release fuel filler cap to my 2005 Factory. It looks the dogs danglies but I wondered if anyone else who has fitted one (Badger - I think you have) could tell me what the small screw that comes with the four fixing bolts is for? Do I need to block off one of the breather holes with it? :dunno

Here you go...mines all silver.

Emailed the supplier - rsvr.net who told me that the little screw was to block a breather hole that would no longer be required. Picture of my new filler cap below.

Bit late, but the answer is to block the breather, very nice bit of kit, a wee tip here, just make sure the cap is always seated properly coz a fair few get lost through not locating them correctly, i have no bother with mine:thumbup

Thanks Badger. I've also ordered some of the heat wrap for my exhaust, i think from the same supplier that you used. Do I just wrap the exhaust with it dry and then secure it with stainless wire or ties or do I need to soak the wrap in water first? I read somewhere that it needs soaking first and then needs finishing off when dry with high temp silicon spray? :dunno

Just did mine dry and wrapped with wire, never moved and is fine:thumbup, probably wrapping wet would be a good plan though.

Got it from rsvr.net - with delivery it came to.......

£86.00 (Not cheap I know - had it sent to work so the other half didn't see it) :devious

cheers mate they are very nice looking but will need to save a few pennies as ive just bought a rossi chip

This is better!

This is the dogs danglies, made by TWM, used by Ten Kate WSB I think. Great design, very secure fit to cap and only half a turn to open and yes it has the 4 bolt fitting hidden underneath. I've had several different makes on various bikes and this is by far the best. Can be purchased from Harris or Carpimoto:thumbup
