Hi chaps, Done a search and couldn`t find any answers so wondered if anyone can help?

`05 RSV-R and bog standard engine, pipes, map, air filter wise.
Not been out for a couple of months but kept charged and started every other week for a good warm up (10 minutes or so)

It`s kept on a paddock stand (not sure if it makes any difference?)

Start up and I have the red triangle with `!` on the dash and even after running for 2-3 minutes it won`t rev over 3000rpm. It sounds like it is being starved of fuel:dunno. The fuel is low but I tend to keep it under half a tank if I know I`m not going to ride it for a while.

Just under 8000 miles on the clock. Last ride out was just over 200 miles in the dry and it ran as sweet as a nut?

:dunno:dunno:dunno:dunno

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers all

The bike's in limp home mode to protect the engine. There's a fault somewhere probably with a sensor. It will need to be plugged in to the dealer diagnostics ( Axone ) to reveal the fault code.

On the earlier bikes the fault code can be accessed without the diagnostic equipment but i'm not sure on the new bikes whether this can be done

Hold in the lap button and turn on the ignition. Keep holding till a number appears on the display. Usally 15 -20 secs

0 means no codes stored. anything else will indicate an issue.

I put my money on oil press switch.

Might be worth checking the temperature sensor on the air intake under the flapper vave. if that wire connector is lose or wet it will give those symptoms. Have you jet washed it:confused Worth a look.

Cheers.:cheers
