Left handle bar switch question?

Bugger - my 02 mille just failed its MOT on a sticky high/low headlight switch (I've had the switch apart - tried plastic grease etc - no joy) Just found a cheap replacement on Ebay but its for the 2004 mille, although it looks very similar. My question being would the 04 switch fit my 02 model?

id say off the top off my head no it wont fit but im not 100% sure, if it doesnt buddy you can find loads of left hand switches on ebay
 
Thanks Milleboy - there were a couple of other switches on Ebay for the 02 model but at twice the cost as the 04 switch i found...

Like yourself Im rebuilding my bike after an accident - the budget dried up a while ago... oh well in for a penny, in for a pound...

I do confess I did nearly throw in the towel.

I had some **** pull off a petrol station forecourt into my path. The bike low sided and slid a little way into the car. Resulting damage front and right side fairings smashed, clock bracket buckled, and my much loved harris exhaust dented and scratched to buggery.

I've been watching your rebuild progress with interest (now i sound all voyeuristic, lol) Mines all back together, had it serviced, hoped it would pass the MOT at the same time... just a respray to go.

Have you had your Mille painted yet?

Funnily enough it went in this morning well the panels did the bike is still at home in the garage, it was a shame to strip it all back down again but to be fair i cant wait to get it all built up, ive got some pics to add to the rebuild thread tonight nothing to exciting but an addition none the less,

Those bloody clock brackets are pants, they buckle if ya just flick it :laugh mine was absolutly abliterated from the crash haaa!!

You going back to standard on ya respray buddy or you going for something different?

Mine passed the MOT luckily enough but ive got a feeling the chap testing it didnt even look at it lol which in a way is good but i wanted him to double check my forks etc,
