LED Flush Mount Indicators

A

amb67

I need some help in this area and am calling on your experiences.

I've replaced my rear indicators with LED ones and they are fine. However when I came to do the fronts I was not able to fit the ones I had bought.

The holes for mounting the indicators are tiny and to be honest I didn't fancy attacking my bodywork with a drill etc...

How have you guys managed to fit after market LED indicators? (Photos welcome please)

Anyone fitted any flush mount ones that look good and are very visible? (Again photos welcome)

Found these on Flea Bay but am wary that they may be crap - Click Me

Thanks in advance for your replies/help. :thumbup

Sounds a daft answer but could you attach them with double sided tape?
I did that with my Blade and they were fine. Used the automotive "sponge" tape.

Why change from the original ones :dunno Just add some clear lenses and orange bulbs and the result is and excellent clean look :biggrin

The originals are huge and are pretty corroded internally.

I did think about adding some clear lenses and making up my own LED PCB but I have too many jobs on the go at the moment and frankly haven't the time.

I suppose the flush fit ones could be added to the fairing using double sided tape.

Was interested to find out what you guys all had and what they looked like.

these were installed bt the prev owner.

they fit alright they would look better with the double sided sponge tape to make it look better like mentioned before. or put some silicone around it. the markers also come in blue.

oh crap. how do I upload an image here?:doug:exclamation
got it!

I had a **** time getting mine to work in the end I bought an LED relay that sits behind the dash and put leds on the rear and normal iridium on the front.

Cheers Andi, done my rears and done the mods to fit my fronts too.

Hard to see if yours are flush fit from that shot, got any other piccies? (Close ups)

Superyellow, either your piccies blurred or I've had way too much plonk today? (Possibly a combination of the two)

Saw these on Ebay and thought they would look good on mine - Click Me

I was holding a piece in my hand that's why I cropped it. lol I'm still working on my bike I will post the most recent when I'm done. I'm trying to fix my clutch. your bike looks great mate!

I think anyone that has owned an RSV has at some point carried home a piece of it that has fallen off during a ride out.

My sidestand almost fell off a few months ago, luckily I had the tools to tighten it up roadside.

Just added a response to your clutch issue Superyellow, hope it helps.

Alan, mine aren't flush fit mate but small arrow type. a word of warning about the flush mounted ones you have a link for....they look similar to the ones i bought (originally for a GSXR) and they are slighlty concave in shape and i could not get a decent seal to the Mille fairing bud!! I wanted the flush look at first too!! Those ones might be fine but thought i'd let you know it may end up like mine and not get a good seal!!

As for close up pics buddy, tried to zoom in and send you them but f*ck knows how to do it!!....Sorry dude!!

No probs Andi, don't worry about the piccies.

I chose those ones cause the curvature on them looked like it was similar to that of the fairing.

I was hoping that more people on here would have added flush fit indicators, looks like I may be pioneering the way, just hope it's not an expensive test.

I've got flush fits on the front, not led granted, but flush nonetheless. They are secured using the sponge double sided, trimmed to fit, so no messing around with drills and the likes. Not sure if you can see from the pics in the garage. If not, give me a nudge and i'll take some pics for you amb.

Cheers Cat, could see pretty good from your garage piccies.

Look good on yours and I was most certainly going to stick them on with double sided sticky tape.

Just got to find some descent ones, not too sure those on Ebay are the ones for me.
