LED Day Running Lamps - What Bulb?

I have 2016 version with the Rally kit including the side mounted LED daytime driving lamps.

Having invested in upgrades for the headlamps with some H11 LED lamps I am wondering if I can also get some brighter LED's for these lights.

Anyone know what bulbs and how to get to them?

G'day Johnno, those daytime side lamps are made by Givi (err, I read on a forum post so it must be true...??) and are suppose to be good - I think Welshintheusa has changed the bulbs in his Rally side lamps - have a look in the 014-016 forum. Also the guys are raving about another brand that turns night into day........have a look at recent posts...

I put a pair of JW Speaker 2000 Lumen 6200k H11 LED's in my low beam main's - they are nice and bright for daytime use but are only marginal for night use. Still, I don't ride much at night so that's ok for me, but I'd hate to get stuck in bad night rain - might have to invest in some extra driving lights like your Rallycapo......;)

Gotta be careful with H11 replacements as LED's are not necessarily better than halogen for depth and spread and cut off for other road user's etc etc.

Johnno, has your service indicator light come on? and does your bike have the 78KW symbol showing on the top left of the dash?
Neither of them showing on my bike at 634 miles. In on wednesday for the service.

Wait till you get to the 12,000 mile major tear down service (around $1200Aus vs $400Aus for the minor services every 6,000miles).

You can save some $ by doing in-between oil and filter changes if you want to look after your motor but you can't escape the PADS network  = the price of high tech trickery eh?

Cheers

I would be of a mind to find the time and money to get the service done.

This is an exotic piece of Italiana, not a Japanese machine of reliability. :)
You don't want to compromise whats left of your 2 year warranty

no indicators heinz - garage says that there is no reduction in power before service - not even sure there is a service light

I have now booked it in cos there is no way I can wait until after Xmas I do 130miles to work and back each day

Sorry cant remember the number, but thats all i did was remove a bulb. I then matched it up with leds at walmart. Nice and cheap, bright white light.
