+1 for the AP50 here! I borrowed a Fizzy for a while and it was great but the AP's tank was just a little bit physically bigger which seemed better to me!

SS50's were the diesels of the 'peds being 4 strokes! :lol

I have to admit I was forced down the SS50 route by my dad (who funded the 'ped), but when the second one blew up I also did the C90 head barrel and piston thing ... HUGE difference ... mine still wasn't quite as good as my mates AP50, but at least it was a lot closer !

Whilst a small child & living on a farm :-
Honda 50
Another Honda 50
Suzuki 80
BSA C15 - in a moto X frame
Same frame with a Maico 250 scooter engine in.
On the road :-
The fastest Fizzie in the area - lightened, ported, head skimmed, expansion chamber, but most important, I was only 6 stone when I was 16.
RD250 - coffin tank & mag wheels
A couple of DT 175`s - really good bikes, might buy another one
DT 125
Honda 750 F2 - my mates still got it.
Susuki GSXR 1100 J (slabby)
Honda Fireblade - nice but boring, wished I kept the Gixer
Kawasaki GPz750 - bought in many boxes & rebuilt.
Susuki GSXR 1100 J (slabby) - same bike. 6 years & 6000 miles yearsafter I sold it. Accidental meeting of new owner in pub. Persuaded him to sell it. Still got it.
Cobra kit car - 4 wheeled bike - V8 engine.
Tuono gen 2 - still got it.
Honda Dominator - still got it.
Next bike - something old that breaks down (possibly British), I miss the old days.

Not much of a history for me I'm afraid. Was not old enough to ride bikes that made men like fizzys! Always fancied a 2 smoke road bike (rgv250) so maybe one day eh!

Honda CBR400 nc29
Yamaha R6
Honda CBR600rr
Honda CBR1000rr
Yamaha R1
Aprilia RSVR1000
Aprilia Tuono1000

Oh, and about 40 motocross bikes 2 & 4 stroke over the last 20 years!

Honda 50, got it for nowt, rode it without a lid as law not in then.
Honda 125, first new bike in 72. Stupid cow pulled out in front of me, bust collar bone and left knee.
Triumph 3TA. Needed noew big end shells, as well as many parts.
BSA Bantam & Triumph Cub for off roading
Yamaha YR5, cracking bike.
Honda XL250.
Yamaha YPVS 350, nutter machine at the time.
Kawaski GPX750.
Honda CBR1000F.
Triumph Sprint ST
Yamaha Fazer 1000.
Honda Fireblade RR3.
Kawaski 636
Gen 2 Tuono.

love those lists lads...

especially the ones like batfasts,yz400 to a fizzy... oh the joys and delights of being legal on the road, how grown up ..

My list is a bit boring I'm afraid

Suzuki GS125E (4-stroke) = lovely first bike, very forgiving, sounded coooool, seat as hard as a rail track. Rode it from Edinburgh to Thurso and permanently damaged my glutious maximum in the process!

Kawasaki Z550 = a dangerous nail that I bought from a pikey. This ****** nearly killed me when chain snapped after 20 miles / 50mph / seized back wheel

Kawasaki GPZ750A = greatish and a huge leap in terms of performance and "heres my head my arse is following" riding position. Motad Neta 4/1 and then Harris 4/1 ... sounded the nuts but was never really happy in corners as it seemed prone to wallow and weave. Prolly forks or anti dive?

Suzuki GS550EF = absolutely ******* ***** in every respect and boring as arseholes. No redeeming features or characteristics whatsoever; I ****** hated it. Just saying.

Yamaha TRX850 = first twin = love! Fitted Scorpion cans and it sounded great. Not that quick but a great weekend tourer

Suzuki TLR1000R = Came back from pub one night pissed ... on e-bay ... saw it ... and the rest my friends is history. Bloody incredible ride and superb fairing. Had 165mph (on clock) on the A5 and steady as a rock(et) It cornered really well and thanks to ff steering damper no tank slappers. Scorpion race cans. A real crowd puller when in a line of other bikes. Only sold it due to imminent risk of no license and or death.

Aprilia 1000R 2005 new shape = heaven. Another e-bay purchase and to be honest I wish I had waited to get one with more trick bits added. Superb all round bike. Stock cans replaced with Pipe-werx = 10 x the grin factor and a looser more eager feel ... AND THE NOISE !!!! Usual no feckin back brake, misty clocks, when it refuses to start first poke it sounds like somebody has thrown a proverbial shifter in the works. Tip and tap to find neutral sometimes. (easy when you get the knack) Flakey rear indicator mirror finish. Wanky side stand. It goes like buggery, corners well, comfy riding position apart from (I know it's a feckin nekkid bike ffs you Celtic fuds) no protection.

Would I get rid of my T?

100% yes

But it would be replaced with a younger prettier one ... as far as I am concerned it is the perfect blend of sports / commute / scratch / tour / hooligan / young daughter on the pillion I could ever wish for.

Damn I'd LOVE Cobra kitty! I'd never build one ... but that my friend is my dream weekend car

Also ... if you want something that sounds great, breaks down a lot and leaks why not consider some of the Harleys? Their dealerships have superb waiting areas and free coffee..... if you get my drift?

newelly - couldnt of put it better meself mate, i have had some great bikes in the past but nothing has had the personality/fun factor/adrenalin rush the T has had, not sure i could get exited about any rice burner again - once bitten fully smitten :yes:yes:yes:yes:yes:yes:yes:yes:yes:yes:yes

Yamaha TRX850 - one of the most underrated bikes ever IMO. Did a Yamaha race school thing at Cadwell a few years back and we used their TRX's - great things once you got used to the handling.

Newelly, The Cobra was OK ,but usual car problems, traffic jams on nice days. Although it was fast, it just was not "bike fast".

The only Hardly Dangerous that I ever liked was a model from the 80`s called the Cafe Racer. Never rode one though. Probably be a dissapointment if I ever had the chance.

I would really like a Velocette Thruxton, they are a work of art but getting sold for daft money.

Its a need to know basis as far as bikes & wifes are concerned.
Keep them well shagged & badly shod & you can get away with virtually anything.
