Just been out for a ride and I have noticed that when my front forks compress under braking I have a slight knock.

I read in a post on one of those other RSV sites that the pre load adjuster should click when turned, if it doesn't then the shocks have lost the gas.

Is this true or is someone just lifting our legs?

PS. My adjusters don't click, just reset all suspension settings to base so I can tailor it to my liking.

Any ideas or help appreciated.

:doug

I just can't stop smiling when I ride my RSV R :biggrin

This might be a shot in the dark, but how tight are the headstock bearings?

Yup, I think yer headstock bearings need adjusting. Still on my originals at 50k, so check and adjust before replacing matey

Cheers guys, suppose I will have to dig out the manual and check them out.

Don't suppose you know of an easy way to check and adjust them?

easy way...er yeah go to a spanner monkey!!!, I'm sure someone will come along soon with the techy bit!

Oi!

I resemble that remark, I am or should I say was a spanner monkey for 20 years.

Now a big fat office loafer, without the big and fat bit. (Well when I breathe in and hold my beer gut in)

Was just looking to see if anyone had come across any quirks with the RSV that I should look out for when checking mine.
