Hi folks,

Just joined the site as I am hoping to test ride and buy an 06 Tuono in matt black and grey, moving up from a Yamaha FZ6 Fazer.

Just a few questions I was hoping you could help me with, is there anything I need to look or listen for on the bike during the test and can anyone offer any advice as to a good set of tyres for our wet UK climate.

Cheers

Neal,

welcome rooster. i run diablos and it always sounds like a bag o spanners to me but wow what a bike , get the 15t sprocket on and plenty of money for the go juice . enjoy

Used to have a fazer myself good bikes also.

Not sure on the tyres i just fitted another set of the D208 Dunlops and they seem ok to me.

I am sure you will be told to swap to something else but i got mine with the bike.

Check to see if the bike has been put to map 2 if its running after market cans also.

Hope its a good one! :cheers

Welcome, and don't mind the *chnk* shifting into first... it's just her letting you know that she is getting ready to rock. And for all rounders I am VERY happy with my Pilot IIs. Confidence inspiring in the wet and still grippy when it was getting down toward the freezing point. Not as much luck with the Pirellis. Was quite happy with my Dunlops as well the first season.

aw rite mate, ive got the same model, the test ride will only be a formality lol,,,,,, deals aw ready done, best thing to listen out for is the noise when you kindle her up,,,,,lol

Welcome to the Zone Rooster.

I loved my OEM Metzlers. Now running Metzler front (try the Racetech), and Michelin Pilot Power 2CT rear, which likes to be warm before being thrashed.

I'm logging [ouch] off now before you and Shv start on me again.:lol

Greetings mate. I've just bought the exact same bike as you are testing - brilliant! Does sound like a tractor, but who cares once you ride it.
I had dunlop roadsmarts on my 636 before the T and found them excellent. Might give the road 2's a shot when the rennsports are finished.

Surely you mean Black is the fastest colour but with gold frames they go even more fasterer :yes
It's those bloody feminine hormones again. Gold frame indeed.:kicknuts Everyone knows, gold would just weigh you down and make you slower.:lol
