Found your forum while trying to find bike prices!! Put a bid on a gen1 factory whilst pished the other night and have only gone and won the bike...Started worrying that i had maybe offered too much for it(Miserable git Scotsman).
Not paid for it yet or collected it but im a man of my word so will dig up the garden and part with my stash.
Had an 03 Tuono back in 2005 and it was the most fun i had ever had on a road bike so have always wanted another and had talked myself into a factory or racing.
So let it be a lesson to you all...Do not bid on e-bay whilst intoxicated:no:no:no

I've got an Alfa Spyder that came the same way, turns out it's not bad either.
Enjoy the bike.

imagine bein as stupid as that, whit a walloper,,,, a think you shoulda kept yer auld ane,,,,,,

Welcome bud. The bike will probably be a right *******, won't start, have bald tyres, flat battery, & be a ringer.
There's always the get out clause if its not as described etc.
Keep us nosey bugas informed tho'

some of my best bay purchases have been while a bit pissed...

and the worst..

You did better than me! I recently paid £3500 for mine - slightly lower mileage but older and clearly not as well loved as yours. I had that desire to own one of these - clouds my judgement every time! I was prepared to pay up to £4k for a nice one.

Don't worry about the money, just ride the bike - what price for that grin factor!

Hi and welcome I have banned myself from ebay when hammered but then when hammered think WTF and go on any way !!enjoy mate

Not sure what the market is like in the UK, but in California, that's a $6000 bike EASY.
I have one, it's fooking fantastic. You did well!

Well picked the bike up on Saturday, headed up the road..Insurance sorted on Sunday morning and out for a blast.
Nice wee 20 mile run to watch the local Supermoto meeting, headed home and got stuck in traffic through St Andrews and did the bloody thing not just cut out on me!!! Totally dead...seat off and 30 amp fuse blown next to the battery, replaced it then gave it a proper hiding home.Been fine since but it can only be something wrong..
Having checked a couple of forums looks like this is going to be bad news.Any of you guys any experience of this??
