Can't do a thing with the O's, I am a "Four-eyes" myself. Haven't gone back to contacts yet.
I have 880mi on the odo now, (amazing in January!), will do my own service as I've had problems with other people wrenching on my Buick.
I've had a look at the "brown" and "white" connectors, noticed a distinct lack of mechanical "drag" between the male and female contacts and so mashed the female to get more "drag". Nothing heating up yet, (touch wood!).
I do Avionics for a living and so the Ape's penchant for melting connectors and frying stators is a personal interest of mine. I theorize a connection between loose connectors and overheated stators. Aprilia hasn't done much to find the root of this problem, so it is up to us.
