Had an interesting ride to work this morning. I have a 2004 RSVR, here's what happened: Started bike as normal, no problem. After 1/4 mile experienced engine temporarily cutting out-starting-cutting out-starting. Needless to say the jerking around of this was a little unsettling. After another 5 miles or so filled up with petrol, turned the key and pressed the starter, but nothing (no funny noises, no starter motor turning, nothing). Switched off ignition and turned key, pressed starter button and engine fired up. Got to work OK. Also noticed the red warning triangle on the dash stays on after 3 seconds, but does go off when bike is started (SERVICE interval reminder is 'on' on dash too).
I have the bike booked in for its service in a couple of weeks. If any body has any thoughts about the 'jerkyness' after starting, please advise. I have noticed this happening the last 2 days. Definately do not need this gettig any worse, and want to get home without drama!
