My gen 1stalled the other night , probably wasn't warm enough , but now it won't turn over , I pulled the plugs and it spins over by hand , checked the starter motor , seems okay , the solenoid buzzes and the dash flashes EFI
So I'm suspecting the starter solenoid , what do you reckon ?
Off to ebay for one

Oh wifey pointed out that I'd just washed It the other night , might have a part in it

Any thoughts on it lads ?

You can check the starter solenoid by bridging the two terminals with something like a screwdriver, if it fires up then you know it is the solenoid that is knackered.

I would put a multimeter across the battery just to make sure you have enough power too, if it does turn out to be the starter solenoid then you don't want to be putting a standard one on it the common upgrade is to put a 150a one on.

Yup ordered the 150 amp one , funnily it won't turn the starter motor by shorting the terminals but a live from the battery direct spins the starter fine , the battery is a motobatt , so loose terminals were my first thought , but they seem fine , 12.8v in it too
Solenoid not latching in seems most likely culprit at this point
Will report back after new one fitted
