mate, after my last 'off' the side stand DOES need replacing,(wonkier than ever) thats me next job! hence the bike is bristling with those plastic bumpers!!.They are ugly but if you lay the bike on its side, the swingarm, wheels and tank dont touch the ground.(now I said that I'l prolly highside it next week and destroy it)

unfortunately not - i was putting my jacket on and didnt stand a chance. mashed the left mirror, left fairing etc, but luckily (kind of) i had it in biposto (2 up) clothes so the pillion pegs managed to save the rear end from touching concrete. Still, i could have cried at the time lol.

I parked a mille on pretty steep camber and the whole thing pivotted on its side stand and collapsed, I caught it but it still touched down(and fecked the starter solenoid=weird) bloody thing wouldnt start, had to trailer it home.
Wont do that again. I still hate having to strap this mille down whilst on the ferry, so many straps it looks like a scene from matrix!

That sure is a nice tank CK but too light and weak. Let me get rid of it for you. I have got a nice heavy, sturdy Plastic one you can have.:devious
Not sure about you guys but my side stand never feels safe. I am real careful about choosing a dead flat spot to park her on otherwise I worry that some chav will knock it over while he and his mates chuck one off over it in the car park:jack

either a Gxr thou stand with a little mod, a different base plate(ebay) and someone out there makes a whole replacement stand that leans further and has a bigger plate on the bottom(seen again on evilbay)-its the one I'm gonna get. Think it costs about 40 squid

looks rather dam nice that! Rember talking to a machanic at a BSB race who said that the paint actually weighs more than CF fairing! Personaly i couldnt bring myself to fully paint it, just love the look of CF to much! Some kind of scheme were half is CF and half is paint would look nice tho!
hes right -thats why I cant bring my self to get a full on race rep paint job, cos of the weight and the cost, For the same-ish money I could fit a supercharger instead of getting paint.!!

SUPERCHARGER oh yes :doug, the tank looks the biz m8.. likewise i couldn't paint over that :roll it must be seen in all its glory :thumbup
