Is the V4 a mistake.

I couldn't afford one if I wanted one. Which I don't.

I'm happy with my V twin, I hope it tours well enough when we go to France/Switzerland/Germany this summer, it's got enough performance for me, and I like the way it looks.

Nuff said!

And it still needs a gold frame.....and having spent 9 grand on a T Factory last year there's no way I could hide it in the garage without being rumbled by the memsahib.

The RSV 4 is too small for me............ sitting on one I imagine where a Tuono V4 would put its bars and realise its for small folk.

I reckon the market is shifting to look at Naked/Supermoto hybrids like the KTM 990 SMT and the Ducati Multistrada 1200.

Lower weight, semi-naked/naked performance bikes capable of a good bimble or a tour.

For me that would be Aprilia blending the suspension and handling of the Desmo with the practicality and range of the Shiver and then sticking it around the 1200 cc 90 degree V twin which is hopefully developing something close to 120-130HP. Pointing smack between the SMT and the Multi strada @ about £9,500.00 OTR

Am perfectly happy with my bike and think 120 brakehorse is fairly optimum for a
roadbike. The manufacturers have to come up with new designs now and again an
Aprilia are no different...but I'm a six footer and the newbreed of bikes appear to be
very small. I could borrow money easily enough if I wanted to buy a new one but
I'm deliriously happy wih my Tuono and can't imagine being without it.
