You can pick a blow torch up from b&q or anywhere like that prob 40-50quid or if you know any plumbers or avid diyers you maybe able to borrow one. I have one if you can be arsed coming up here.

If you use a yellow MAPP gas cannister with it they go up to about 2100 degs C. The black propane cannisters are not quite so hot but not sure what temp as I never use them.

Is 2100 hot enough for you ? :) To put it in perspective oxy_acetylene welding kits are about 3500 degrees. I wouldnt advise going this hot ;-)

I'll take it to the local custom bikes place. He turns bikes into trikes so I reckon he's certainly got the tools to bend metal :).

Thanks for the responses, all :).

Get a price for an original and to be bent straight?

This one on the bay looks straight. 111029774588
Sorry I don't know how to doa proper link thing on iPad.
I would be worrying about how that bracket got bent. Did the previous owner say owt about it?

Might be worth a cheeky offer.

See above.

I'm not that concerned about it, Previous owner didn't say anything about it, but I'm of the "it's mine now, if there are any problems I'll sort em" mentality :).
Given the lack of damage to anything else, I would guess that it fell against a wall or something. I've done that before with my NSR125.

He told you that he'd replaced the nose cone due to a barrier coming down on it, correct?
Clearly why/how the bracket bent.
Regardless yeah it is your problem. What's it look like now the mirror is bolted on correctly? :)

Much the same as before.
Can see anything behind me on the left mirror, can see pretty much anything behind me on the right mirror.

Watch out for cracking on the fairing....as it's now been mounted in a place it wasn't meant to be it could cause a stress fracture.

my mille was crashed before I bought it. I had the same problem but mine was also cracked where it fixes to the frame. I had just joined a motorcycle club and was introduced to a welder who could weld aluminium. It is probably stronger now and he straightened it. It`s not quite perfect (the holes for the mirror fixings don`t quite line up but it is near enough with a wiggle. In all fairness he didn`t have a good one to reference it with) and it only cost me £20.00 and a pint in the club. Oh and he drilled and re tapped the steering damper bolt where it sheered off.
