Loooking at a 2004 with 30K on the clock is this considered high mileage on the RSVs it has service history with bills.

As long as its been serviced i cant see a problem, mines got 41000 odd and still pulls like a train with no rattles, Carbon Kid must have more than 60000 on his by now, some people only like low milage motors, but that doesnt mean its better than a high miler, just my opinion, im sure others will tell you to run away from it and not look back :dunno

30k is quit high for the year but the rotax is a strong engine so long as it has a good service history it shouldn't be a problem, the trouble with a bike that has low millage espescialy a mille is that means the bike has been stood for long periods and as we all no these bikes need to be ridden.

It only averages at 5000 a year :dunno

my bikes do about 6-7k a year and thats with a 30 mile round trip to commute. my '01 mille is on about 37k I think?

5k a year is not a lot of mileage and as long as there's a good service history as L1UK says.

Deacs :thumbup

As bin said, 5k a year is nowt, esp if it has a full service history, mines at 65k and the power and torque is still there
cheers. Ck

Read above :)
don't rush into buying owt mate that's all I have to say, get it cos you want it not cos you have too, and if the price is right :)

Your all right!!!

Im starting to let my heart rule my Head..............its only been 5 days without my old RSV and its sending me potty!!! especially when i heard the bikes passing the house today in glorious sunshine.

Im gonna wait a month or 2 and try and find a 2005 as Im a bit concerned about the clock reset on the 04...........and i like the lions head.

Ill take all that you are saying and not to rush anything.

Mines on nearly 30k now on an 06 plate..Engine and gearbox nicer now than when new..I've a pillion 99% of the time .Its been regularly serviced and ridden hard but not thrashed and no track days..
Most jap bikes I've had have started to feel tired at these mileages.

Theyre good engines, motor will prolli outlive the cycle parts!
Ck
