Thanks for advice.
Will not have to try and find someone near me with capability to do this!
I don't think anyone in Aberdeen will be able.

Edit, dealer found 70 miles away, will do switch to Map2 and any other updates for £60.

If you have the baffles in the Akras map 1 would be the best choice anyway.

I also noticed on my track RSVR that on quiet track days when i had to use stock silencers the FI seemed to improve performance over time. It was a bit sluggish in the first few laps of the day and you could tell the difference compare to running Akras (set to map 2), but by lunchtime it would clearly seem to be performing a bit better. This may work the other way round as well as there are various sensors controlling the fueling. However it's still better to run baffle free Akras on map2.

I'm running without DB killers in the cans.
They're far from loud without the DB killers, thank goodness, I'm not a fan of loud bikes.
The only track I'm likely to do track days at is Knockhill, their noise limit is 105db (I think I'd be well within that)

Why would anyone want to keep the baffles in, except for the MOT test? :D

The DB killers are an absolute pain to put in/out anyway!
Had to 'Heath Robinson' a tool to get them out after the MOT a month ago.

Yes they are; they get wedged in. I ask the mechanic to use his slide hammer to set them free straight after it's been tested.

Slide hammer!
That's what I should have borrowed/bought!
I basically had to clamp some mole grips on, then hammer a screwdriver against a notch in the mole grips./
What a palavour.
You can guess the shape of the 'rim' of the DB killers now.

Oh dear, they must be a bit mangled.

I had the Akra's fitted from new, and tried removing the baffles in the showroom with some pliars I brought along with me; they didn't budge one little bit. Then one of the guys there mentioned about one of the mechanics having a slide hammer for removing the stubborn ones. So that saved me wrecking them. :)

If you live real close to 2 of the best biking roads in England, that have been featured in various bike mags and are crawling with rozzers all summer it pays to be less conspicuous if you want to make use of these roads whilst minimising the chance of getting pulled. I've also found that when you are "pressing on" and you spot plod in pursuit and start riding like a vicar, plod generally stop you and try to find something illegal on the bike to make up for not catching you speeding (I've found Lincolnshire Police get particularly narked if they can't nick you for something:nana).

............................maybe I just attract unwanted attention and this doesn't happen very often to others?
