Anybody had problems with condensation on the inside of the instrument cluster? i get it occasionally on my 06 model, but it comes and goes. i guess i could do a warranty claim?
Cheers

Yes you could file a warranty claim, and get a free set of fogging clocks for your trouble.:banghead

'06-'08 Ts come free with clocks that play "Misty" for me.:blues

See: I'm a poet and didn't know it.

While this has not happened to my 04 Tuono, that I know of (New to me), I have had it happen to a Kawasaki of mine. Deal with it ASAP. The fog became progressively worse and caused electrical probs for quite some time. If you have a warranty that will cover it, I'd make an appointment soon. I wonder if it will reset your odometer to 0?

I dont have this problem on my 07 T, well so far anyway, but i seem to have a tiny hole in the bottom R/H corner of the clocks... not sure if this is an accident of manufacture or if someone has drilled this to stop the misting... the bike was new when i got it. Next time i'm over at the dealers i'll ask if they did it. Tis a tiny hole though but maybe thats wot keeping me clocks clear..

The rear indicators fog up though...... just to compensate like :lol

I may be wrong (as I frequently am), but I do believe that the hole is Aprilia's "fix" for this annoying malady - unsuccessful by all accounts it is too. :no

I have had this happen only once so far. It's pretty dry here though; unlike my English cousins who have had a 'wow' of a Summer just past, as far as the weather is concerned.:puke

Yep, I get the fogging clocks. I put this down to the 30 mile deluge in the middle of a 150 mile wet ride home when I bought mine.

Funnily enough though the fogging isn't there when I get the bike out, it magically appears once the bike warms up and we're 20 miles into a ride - weird with the sun reflecting off it and not being able to see the figures in the bottom RH corner.

Still, if this is the worst problem I encounter I don't think I'll worry :)

No fog on my 05 T but had a bit of plastic floating around inside that moved from ride to ride... Also the tacho went haywire started spinning 360 degrees...
Took to shop with 2500ks on it and left with new dash zero ks on it so i got another new bike..yippeeeee

Mines exactly the same, never there when I first get going, but appears bottom right as it warms up! Weird.
I'll have a look at a brand new one at the dealers next time I'm there to see if Mogsters hole is there!

misty clocks

Mine are the same waiting for the 6000 mile service to get mine changed. I did meet a 2007 owner in mid wales who said his had been replaced and were just the same so he opened the clocks and put in a silica gel pack in he said it worked on his so far

Just had a thought you could try what the ***** of the month did.. missile just posted a pic of what not to do...... sadly i know people that stupid...

Masonry drill bit and set to hammer mode... that should solve it :D

My brand new Factory does the "Play Misty For Me" act too! Starts once the bike is warm and only seems to effect the bottom right hand corner, does not worry me, but is annoying for a brand new bike!
However it's the only niggle in a month and 1000 miles of ownership, so far so good!

I have a Tuono Factory 2007 Model, so just a year old. I have from time to time a fog in the corner of the Instro panel and indeed the rear light! I kinda like it!...It says to me I swam against the tide and bought Italian...I could have been boring and bought a Rice Burner!! LOL

Had it happen once on a cold wet day. You can't do much about humidity if the clocks are not sealed. Here's a thought, get the Missus' hairdryer (or yours if you like) and heat the clocks enough to evapourate and dry out any excessive moisture. Please post a pic of yourself doing the act for all our entertainment...heh.
