I had my Inforad 3 weeks and it started just blinking at me. I did various tests like, run diagnostics, move the aerial to the back of the bike, checked all the cables. I emailed the company, told 'em what I was getting and what I'd done. Within 1 hour they'd replied to say it sounds like a faulty unit, return it. That was in the post to 'em last weekend and I've just received a new, fully working replacement today. That is good service IMO.

I think I've read on here that someone has loaded up the mobile cameras he sees as points of interests on his. I can see where to enter them but how do you find out the Longtitude and Latitude of these locations? I tried using google earth but that only gives degrees north & west. Can anyone help?:confused

I used google maps, find the location on there, and right click and click get diresctions from here. It should then reload the page and you will find the lon/lat in the address bar. Its not a very nice way to do it but I added a few I've noticed that way. I wish there was a database of mobile cameras for the whole of the UK do download though!

Bob, did you get another cable?!?!?!

Can only get one from france. When I spoke to Inforad I got replies quick and to the point, shame inforad couldnt help me but good guys all the same :)

B o B did you buy it direct from inforad?

I also have a unit i believe to be faulty and hope to send it back to them shortly.
I cant even get mine to communicate with my computer and believe me ive tried everything over the last few months, emails, links, patches etc etc.

Ive had enough of trying now and just want rid :angry

Well buddy if you want to sell the cable you know where I am:devious:devious

Garvey - they insisted I sent everything back to them. I even sent the booklet. They wanted a receipt too but I only had my ebay proof. Fortunately that was enough. As posted before, why don't you try a scart to usb cable - that's all it is.

UKB - Yes I did buy direct. They never asked me who I bought it from though. I emailed to their tech support in Ireland on:- [email protected] They also told me there is a 2 year warranty with 'em.

Further to my original enquiry - I used James' method of getting longtitude & latitude and found out that latitude is the N figure and longtitude the W figure so don't need to use the long method any more James. Having said that, I wouldn't have known if you hadn't come up with it.

Inforad downloads.

B o B,Garvey.I did a search on Google and got another version of the Inforad download which gives the choice of most of Europe. Will try to list it here.AL

OMG - that's worrying. I wonder if they had a bad batch :dunno
As I said, they did concede & respond to me very quicky. Email 'em and I guess you'll get the same response as I did. Cloud will make no difference at all to the signals.

I tested my replacement by velcroing it on the bike. When it worked I spent a happy morning hiding all the wiring. (Sad I know). I don't fancy having to undo it all - again.

I've just updated mine to the new software and it now covers all of Europe if you want - you select what you want, PLUS mobile camera locations. :thumbup
