Right...this is pissing me off now

Swapped the both left side bulbs to the right side.....cleaned sockets and connectors and STILL the right hand indicators flash ok for a few seconds then flash fast...then go back to normal speed and so on

When engine is NOT running its fine

AAAARRRGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH

What about a dirty earth somewhere

Does both of them flash fast or just one

As when one bulb blows the other will flash fast

So if one is going off then its loosing its connection somehwere ie dirty connector or damaged wire

It sounds as if there is a breakage in either a wire or connection. With the engine off the connections are ok. With the engine running the vibrations are causing the fault to appear and then dissapear. I would start by checking the connections on the lamp sockets and then the ground connections.

Checked all connectors and ran a new earth/neg to the battery from the points where the cable joined the engine....STILL the same

It only happens when the dash lights are on...... unplugged the headlamps and still flashes fast....unplugged the side lights still flashes fast

I modifeid the control gear months ago so i can turn the lights off.......SO... i thought maybe thats the problem....put old control gear back on and still flashes fast FFS

Its gotta be a dash problem.....only effects the right side though

GRRRRR annoying the fook out of me now

I will bet it annoying you and it will turn out to be something really silly in the end

How about going to the very end of the wires where they start, im not sure where that is you would need to look at a diagram, and temporary connecting two bulbs on a short bit of wire while disconnecting the originals and see what happens

yeah ... that's an idea but it seems as soon as there is power to the dash light that's when the fast flash starts.....reason why think its a dash issue :(

Hi mate i think i know the prob , your right about the dash, i left my bike out one night and it pished down, a couple of weeks later the indicators done the same as yours,
took it to the dealers and on the second trip after takin the alarm off and then taking the dash off and replacing with a spare one hey presto working indicators turned out water had got in and rusted some of the solder , some wd 40 and some new solder sorted it right out the dealer was wanting £450 fitted so saved a few bob but i did get my mate who is handy with electronics to do the work. hope you get it sorted cause trying to hand signal and turn right is a *****

cheers dude.... I did take the dash back off and spray some wd40 in there... will maybe take a better look tomorrow
