Well it had to happen, Brokedown on the way home from work.

Petrol light came on and for about 5 miles the bike still pulling well then it was like I turned the engine off, 90+ fast lane:eek: Not best pleased.

Managed to get the bike to the hard standing. Tried to fire up and the bike turns over and then the dash says NO START! I could have told the bike that, piss takeing Italian thing :lol sorry I had to laugh or I would have cried as it was pissing down too.

I pushed the bike off the up the slip road where I could here my self. Now im thinking maybe im out of fuel! Sod it call the AA, start calling the AA. whist calling I try the bike again, wow it fires up. hang up on the phone get my kit back on then the bike dies again. nothing! turns over but now I can here the fuel pump is not making any noise when I turn the key.

Just been dropped off at home with the bike, cold wet and a little pissed off but hey its still my bike I love :) Well any ideas on what I need to check.

5 years and never used the AA :dowhat

Cant you swap the relays over under the seat to see if it is the fuel pump relay??

Have you done the sidestand mod???
Alarm???
Does it start in neutral or in gear with clutch pulled?

I can hear petrol in the tank, normally when I turn the key I hear the fuel pump kick in but now nothing.
Gonna try the relays.
No Sidestand mod done as of yet

It looks like its either the relay or a wire into the relay. turned on nothing, took rear seat off and turned on, nothing. wiggled the relay, turned on it primes and fies up :)

The bike has a inforad fitted and it cut into the wire on the relay so might be that. gonna buy a new relay anyways :)

oh dear mate - relays, connections, earth points, battery terminals, fusebox (mine melted), etc. Hope you get it sorted.

Try taking fuses out then putting em back in, worked for me...... Italian bikes and water dont mix well!

I hope so too, the funny thing this time is I didnt cry :) was bloody enjoying the ride home too :lol

a bit of wiggle and waglle and it will be fine I hope :)

thought I would add some pictures of my baby on the flat bed :( crap pics as its with the phone in the rain and at night :)

Banana Pickup for the Banana Bike...................Colour Coordinated :thumbup , now thats class.

Hope you get it sorted Garvey, I dont think its too serious, you are o the right track.:pirate

Mate i had to laugh at your pics. Not because youre bike was on the back of a flat bed, sorry to hear that dude and i know how you feel.

No the thing that made me laugh is the fact that your recovery driver combs **** by the look of things. I prefer **** not to have any hair on them. Maybe he likes gorillas or something:devious

also have a look at your tip over sensor

Just double check its seated properly & the right way up

I had this just after i bought mine years ago, used bike all year no probs then all of sudden cut out,
ignition off/on wouldn't start, no start on dash
ignition off/on started, went to move cut out

Turns out somehow the tip over was upside down
god knows as i never touched it
