Ignition Switch

Mornin' all...

Finished the last of the Mille refresh on Saturday - she's now sporting new rubber, running 16-43 gearing on new Renthal sprockets & chain, had a full fluid refresh (brakes, clutch, oil, coolant...) and has a new battery ready and waiting on the Oximiser :doug

One small worry though. When I'd finished bleeding the brakes and clutch, I wanted to fire her up and check that I could select 1st and 2nd alright but on my first attempt I pressed the starter and...'nothing' My fault, the ignition button was in the 'off' position where I'd probably leant on it while messing about with the brake reservoir - Ignition switch in the 'on' position and try again...nothing :dunno

I played around with the button a couple of times and kicked the stand up (just in case), tried again and she fired up first time.

I've read about problem side-stand switches but nothing about ignition switches, so I was wondering whether this was a known problem?
As I said, I did kick the stand up as well as mess about with the ignition switch which wouldn't really help my diagnosis but I just wondered for future reference!?

Cheers

Rob

Is the tilt switch something you could knock whilst putting a battery in / taking one out??

The cut-off switch is what I had accidentally pressed when it didn't fire the first time but when I put it in the 'out' position it still didn't fire initially - I just wondered if the cut-off switches were known to be problematic??
