I have just tinstalled my new sidestand switch from timemachine and it dont work:rant

So now I cant be arsed getting another one, So i want to just disconnect the fecking crappy sidestand.

Is it just a case of unplug the switch and give it the middle finger as when its disconnected the sidestand switch light does not light up on the dash??

Thanks

Tim

ps is the switch on the clutch lever anything to do with the sidestand??

well I brought my mille about 1.5 months ago and found out it does not have a sidestand switch. nothing! No light on the dash either.

Going to get put back when I get one and also sort out my gsxr stand :)

The only problem I can see with disconnecting the side stand switch is that you will not know if its up or down...................could be embarrassing :)

Without having the electrical drawings to hand ( im at work) would it be possible to leave the sidestand down indicator on the screen but to disable the engine cut-out function :dunno

Right

Ive sorted it.

The sidestand switch is a major problem.

As a safety issue it is advisable to leave the green wire intact inorder for the light to illume for the sidestand on the dash .

The priniciple is to bridge the 2 outer wires in order to satisfy the Loom that there is a safety contact that the sidestand is up.

The brown and Black are spliced together leaving the Green wire intact.

Best of both worlds.
