Idle Adjustment

Hi,

Where is the idle adjuster on the 2004 RSV Factory, when warm it only just ticks over, nearly stalling.

It's all controlled by a stepper motor which is driven by the ECU, sounds like it may be in need of a tune up and check it has the correct map loaded. I take it that you have no codes up on the dash?

Hi, no fault codes on the dash. I seem to remember the map was changed when I got the bike. what Runs like a dream, just put Akra pipes on and air filter, not bothering with pc.

dude, sounds like you need to remap or have your engine version switched to map 2 and the throttle bodies balanced!!

dont be tempted to turn the idle stop up od you may create a conflict with the TPS

if you need any help with this just gimmea call and i will explain it all for ya!!!

Hi,
Thinking about it I dont really think the bike is ticking over too low, reckon Im used to my Suzuki ticking over at 2000 revs, it makes the RSV feel likes its going to stall. Te mods I have got on the Aprilia are Akrapovic slip ons, Pipercross air filter, 42/16 sprockets, the bike runs like a dream. I dont want to get into doing loads of things to the bike as I may change for a RSV4 in Spring.
