Ive just had a look at my Brother in laws CBR1000rr sidestand and it looks exactly the same apart from the fixing plate that bolts to the frame the actually sidestand is exactly the same as ours but 18mm longer and has a slight bend in it to push it our further. The switch itself is exactly the same!!

Im gonna buy one and will let you know how I get on...............

And the price for a sidestand second hand on the web is..............wait for it...................15 quid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If it works im gonna be a happy bunny.

i'm looking at this as well, i got a zx9r stand that looks close but the top needs the top of the rsvr on it, was going to cut and weld it and git it a go

let us know if the CBR one works :thumbup

From the measurments i took from the CBRs one Everything matches up including sidestand switch.

just FYI the 1000rr and 600rr are the same unit 2004-2007

Hi mate.

Do you know if it is all the Rsv's that suffer this sidestand problem or am I safe with the 06 model please?

Hi Guys

15 quid sounds very good, this morning I just got around to fitting my bubbsywoo
stand and its great so far, nice quality and all that.

Little bit more coin but worth every penny, much nicer than standard!!!

Cheers

Hi All, This my 1st post and just want to say i fitted the stand off a GSXR1000 01/02 model, Kept the original mount but changed the stand, Much more safer and the bike stands better. GoodLuck....

No need to weld at all, Simply swapped the stand (leg) used all the original bolts aswell. Well worth doing as the original stands are NOT safe, Goodluck.

i know i'm tempting fate with this but i've had my 02 mille for 3 years now with the original stand and don't find it a problem at all, what you all moaning about?

You are tempting fate...........the OEM unit is **** :eatcorn

Far too short and far too upright so much so that sometimes the rear wheel can lift off the floor.

GOOD to hear its been ok BUT the original stands are unsafe as they are too short and uprite, I changed mine coz i noticed that the bike was unstable when parked and even more so when windy, Better to be safe than sorry and its cheaper to replace the stand instead of a fairing etc, Goodluck.....
