Fook knows
Well then, after searching for yonks and getting shat on with the SS750 and almost giving up I got meself a Cagiva W12-350 to play with. Single cylinder aircooled thumper.
Its a traily that is practically good to go. Been off road for a while but considering its a 1994 M reg its in fantastic condition. Basically it just needs servicing and mot/tax. It should fly through the mot.
So why a Cagiva ? Dunno really, I looked at litteraly thousands of bikes and nothing really floated me boat. The only real criteria for a project was it had to be Italian. I'd been looking at Aprilia trials bikes but they were all either shagged or mega expensive.
So why a traily ? Dunno really, had a few in the past and enjoy a bit of greenlaning and the practicallity of a single cylinder easy to ride bike.
Don't know what I'm going to do with this thing really. Its good to go or strip and mint.
Decisions decisions decisions
Could do with some help though, its a very rare bike, especially over here. Its a Suzuki DR engine I think, well according to the previous owner it is. So if anyone knows anything about these buggers or Cagiva in general it'd be a help.
Anyone who thinks its just a boring old traily isn't quite right. When you get something like this you have to research and get pretty involved in the history of the bikes. I can tell you that Cagiva have the most interesting history you could imagine. If it wasn't for them Ducati wouldn't exist today for a start.
Anyhoo, big thanks to KeithB for excellent help on the parts front. Yes mate everything is in Germany and France.
First jobs, an air filter and a mot.
