just done one of those text hpi check to 83600
and this was the reply

no DVLA OR police record found for V***K*H.

Those text HPI checks are ***** mate, do the full proper check and safeguard yourself against all the thieving buggers out there.

Do the full check here - HPI for £20 it's well worth it, although when it comes back and says all clear you still feel you have just wasted £20. LOL

As amb67 said - spending the £20 is well worth it. I did one when bought the RSVR - it gave a full breakdown of the checks done and it gives you peace of mind that you`re not buying something dodgy

i did the text one... not sure which no. & cost £3... i received 3 different texts of info... inc amount of owners, current tax & mot... any accident cats etc !? :thumbup

I did the same when i bought the Blackbird........ what might have happened is your phone might be blocking expensive sms messages coming back to your phone so you get the bare minimum back from them and they cannot charge you!! That's what happened to me!!

Like Alan says, it's worth getting the real deal.................:thumbup
