Hows the 848 Spoonz??

He's still out playin on it :devious last seen near Fort William heading towards Ben Nevis :thumbup :thumbup

Sorry only just seen this.

It's tucked up in the garage due to being on a 09 plate and not legal till 1st march. Even ducati Uk don't know i have taken delivery so warranty hasn't started etc.
Dealer would get his bottom spanked if they found out.

As it stands i am consoling myself with bolting on a few carbon bits and spending money i shouldn't. :devious

As for reliability we shall see but i did my homework. Only been 1 recall for a heat sheild on the rectifier as it was close to the exhaust (09 bikes have the mod from the factory) and otherwise they are solid. Even got a wet clutch like a proper bike.

Beleive it or not had the Aprilia dealers had their act together i would be on another Factory. I tried 5 dealers who either ignored me, insulted my intelligence over trade in values or thought i was still going to pay £10700 for a Factory when they are around for £8k. I've never found it so hard to try and buy a bike in my life.

As it happened i went to a dealer with a friend and climbed on the 848 and it went from there. With 1 exception the dealers have been great during the buying process as well.
Time will tell if i live to regret it but it makes me go weak at the knees just to pull off the cover and stare at it.

I also plan on a restore project for an early Mille R. I enjoy the rebuild process greatly and want to take a minger and turn it into a beauty. Bit like Cheesy is doing

when it's not pouring i will take some pics.

20mph faster than the yellow

(i know not available on new dukes just yet as no one likes the colour )
:devious:nana

Yellow is available is some countries on the 1098 and for 09 the 1198 has pearl white as well.

I've seen it............mmmmmm very nice indead spoonz, have to say its a thing of beauty. Tasty pair of Termi's and some carbon finish it of nicely.

Hope its dry in march long enough to dry your lane up, not sure it will be any good off road !

:thumbup Nice bike, sat on one at the mcn skeggy bash, interesting to see how you rate it to the aprilia.Watching this space.:biggrin

Regard Yellow 1098 bikes

US deffo and it's listed in the Uk brochure as well but i think it might be a special order.

Can't wait to get her out and will be able to make some direct comparisons.
From the test rides i can say it's power is very linear from bottom to red line and it's revs considerably quicker than the Aprilia.

Like the aprilia first gear is quite tall and the standard screen obscures your view of the dash if your tall. It also feels very light even compared to the 1098.

A nice Yellow 1098
