I've seen some guys talking about using some iphone noise meter app that they reckon is pretty accurate. Think it was on another forum (rsvr or af1)

It depends what track you go to, they have different noise levels at different tracks, my gen 2 has an open air box and arrow end cans on, and does sound loud,passes noise at Cadwell and Snetterton, only tracks i've run at, do take the db killers with me just in case,it's a different level for twins , over 3's an d 4's also, have herd others say kinda depends on who's doing the testing as well, as one time at a track there bike passes and at the same track with a different person testing on another day it fail's.

i've went to Mallory last week, my single can without baffle was 102db, with the baffle it ran on a Donny 98db day and i didn't get pulled.
Just make sure the tester tells you the right revs for a twin, the numpty first asked me to rev to 7k (107db) until i pointed out it was a twin !! so 5k then (102db)

Ahh, didnt realise you could buy em for any can. How do they hold themselves in with no mounting holes?

SteveR mateym, the universal ones sorta expand when you tighten them , a bit like some kinds of front axle bobbins, there are some on www.carpimoto.com
