How lond should ya brake pads last

Front pads seem fine still....10,000+ miles on my bike

Rear ones need replacing again after 5000 miles...? yes my rear brake works fine and no its not dragging so as to wear out the pads.......cant remember the make i put in but i think i remember the guy saying they were soft compound suppose that dont help......:dunno

Anyhoo i ordered some EBC HH for the rear

I managed 28K on the front pads on my 01. They just started to rub as the insurance co took her away after falling off the side stand. I put it down to the fact that you don’t use the brakes that much on an RSV as the engine braking is sooo strong. Now I’ve discovered track days I don’t think they’ll go quite that far.

Well got to say you've made the right choice of pads BB the EBC are the ones I've just put in the front and back of mine and they've made a fantastic difference my front pads had only done 10,000 miles and only half worn but i was starting to get a bit of chatter so was told to change the pads and it certainly worked

Im also on 10,000 miles with original pads, they only look half worn. Have to agree, its because the twin does not need braking most of the time, the engine does the work.
