There was a poll on another forum recently and 69% came out as unchanged or very little change as a result of the downturn.
That's a somewhat better outlook than the media would have you believe but it still means 31% are struggling which is not good.
For me i am plodding on as before. My outgoings are pretty small considering and other than the mortgage i have no debts. My line of work is IT to the education market and so far we have not seen any downturn in business. It's become more competative as the business sector tries to muscle in but the work is out there.
I think i've said it before but i still beleive the companies that are still around post summer of this year will likely go the distance. Anyone still around after that has likely kept a decent line of credit/work going and although we are likely to be in a downturn for some time all the pundits think mid 2009 to be the low point.
