Turn the ignition to run and do not run the bike!

if it DOESN't show Zero on the LCD like mine then you need to adjust your Throttle Positioning Sensor- TPS which is under your airbox under your gas tank

break the red seal with your animal strength and losen both of the bolts together! do not remove the Sensor it's a bitch to put back and dangerous since it may be revving all the way to much when you start the motor . bene there done that scarey!!!!!!

slightly rotate the sensor, it doesn't matter which way, you will find out with trial an error method. and make the bolts tighter and check the LCD until you see 0. 'The read out is little delayed sos be patient. When you are done double and triple check it read zero, tighten the bolts and make sure it won't go off calibration again with vibrations.

Nicely done superyellow, however you've forgotten to wind the idle adjusting knob ( located below the left hand side of the fuel tank ) all the way out before connecting the diag wires. This has the effect of seating the throttle butterfly closed before you obtain a throttle TPS reading. The reading should be 0 with idle knob turned all the way out. Once you've got a 0 reading, tighten the TPS switch back up and reset idle to 1200 / 1300 rpm, not forgetting to disconnect the diag wires once complete

Nice write-up SY. Thanks. Not sure I've got much animal strength left at the moment though!

thanks I will take pics of that and come back and add it to your instructions mate. hope it helps someone

So if my Tbs are out of sync will it come up on the dash or do i have connect wires etc etc?

It doesn't mention the idle adjuster. The idle adjuster moves the throttle opening so if you raise or lower your idle you can get a +1 or -1 figure despite the fact your tps is perfectly adjusted.

As Spoonz has pointed out 1 is quite normal for a bike with its TPS set correctly with the idle adjuster turn right off to zero , so as to get it to its lowest idle before altering the TPS .. as when you turn the adjuster back up to bring the idle up 14-1500 rpm the throttle plates open more & so the TPS figure move up as now you have moved it from your base setting of 0 !

and thats the right side of the fairing you'll find the diag cables, not the left. Sorry but saves confusion!!

hi my bike reads o till i put in gear on a paddock stand then it goes to 1 at 3500 revs but it rides fine just efi keeps coming on when riding any ideas guys
