Howdy guys and gals, been out for a bit of a blast today when i got off the bike and was just looking at it and noticed a heat haze coming from an exhaust can, fair enough its had a bit of a thrashing but on closer inspection out of only one can, so i went to investigate, if your looking at the back of the bike and put your hand over the right end can it was bloody hot but when doin the same to the left hand can the heat coming out was only warmish...any ideas or should i sell it quick...:biggrin

Thanks in advance for any input...:thumbup

Carpe, could be a couple of things. What cans are they by the way?

The sound insulation is starting to disintergrate inside the right hand can causing excessive heat build up on the outer sleeve. Is there any discolouring on the sleeve?

The front cylinder is running hot due to incorrect mixture. The throttle bodies may need balancing

doesn't one have further to travel than the other, so temp would be different

Is it always the same can ? Whichever cylinder last expelled exhaust gasses before you cut the ignition will have hotter air in it.
