bloody hid light failed to fire up on way home from work tonight ,had to ride home on full beam .tried the spare bulb at home and it tries to fire up ie it flashes on for about a second then goes off ,tried the one in the bike and this does the same ,am i right in thinking its the ballast pack thats at fault ,anyone got a spare one going cheap

Just out of curiosity,are the slim line ballasts available by themselves or would you have to buy another kit?

tried turning it on and off with engine on and off no change
yes you can get the slim ballast on their own about £17 + post
ordered a kit with 4300k bulbs in slim ballasts one for the dip beam and one in the main will not plug the normal main in ,save some pennies and get a ballast and refit the 8000k in the dip and the 4300k in the other main (i think)
