Hi all, have I made the right decision ? After seven years owning a Honda CB1300F the Hooligan in me made me spend my redundency money on a zero miles 2008 model year Tuono Factory:thumbup. Was this a good idea ? The background to this lies four years ago when I tested a 2006 tuono 1000R , I loved it, I had a good PX arranged then my bride threw a spanner in the works. So after all this time when I lost my job I found I could at last finance a Tuono so I started looking . I looked at an 08 factory at Thunderoad Cwmbran , but it was sold before I had the money to buy it. Two days ago my "Red Lion" Factory was delivered, side by side my CB looks like a beached whale..I called it the comfy bus ,big wide seat 86 lb/ft torque = 20 to 140 mph in top gear, happy days . Why the Tuono? because I like V twins, I had a Firestorm and just loved the power delivery ,I just turned 50 & my mid life crisis had kicked in late, can my creaking knees ,wrists & shoulders still hack it ? Time will tell...

IMO do whit yer do and pay no heed to the likes of me or most others. Untill yer need help wae yer machine, naebody fecks wae that info. I hope.

Aldo first question ,why does the display keeps asking that I input a code ?

Jist leave well alone, If you enter a code ie numbers you'll need to do it every time you turn the ignition on. It's not needed and IMO keep it that way.

Number two???

Welcome Tricky and congratulations on your choice of bike!

I'm in Bristol and there's a few of us on here who meet up at Abergavenny bus station to go out and enjoy Wales' finest twisties. We'll give you a shout next Spring when we're next out.

See ,I always knew Aldo was a good lad

Aye Tricky you'll love it. I've a 1st Gen Tuoldo and I've been out from Abergavenny with Gilo. However, heed Gilo's advice when he says to you don't follow my lines. I'm prone to go offroading now and again on roads I don't know

Second question ,this may sound silly but how do you get at the battery? I presume it lives under the seat but since the key only removes the pillion pad, how does it come off?

Lift the corners of the back of the seat and go at it with an 8mm (?) socket on a 6" extension. Be careful. The **** suckers at my dealership stripped out one of them tightening it up.
