Just a quick note to say hi. Had my Black 06 Tuono for 2 years and a Mille for 6 years before that. Obviously a big V Twin fan!! Just wanted to ask opinions on tyres. I'm not the fastest (or the slowest) rider around and I'm thinking of getting a pair of Michelin Pilot Road 3's before TT. Anybody any experience of them? Or would you choose something else?
Thanks in advance

Ive got mich pilot 3,s on mine and I think they are a brilliant all rounder , good mileage , good grip wet or dry and very stable at speed and across tarmac banding !!

go for it !!

tyres are a personal choice, I have always ran with Dunlops but bought an SMT a few weeks ago with PR 3s fitted and I think they are *****
very minimal feed back from either end and compared to Dunlops poor grip in the dry

Tyre choice is a personal thing, one man's favourite might feel crap to someone else.

You have ridden a Mille @ a Tuono for 8 years..........Question? what make.......... Question? did you like them.
If you have been happy for the last 8 years stay within the brand.
Are you going to change and do loads of track days? Then a change of brand may be necessary.

At the end of the day, it's your choice, good luck.

Gray (I like Pirelli)

Always had Pirelli's on the Mille. Tuono has had Pilot power 2's both ok without being brilliant in the wet but heard such good reports of the road 3's so I thought I'd ask the question of you knowledgeable lot

I've got PR3s on my 08 T and have had no problems in the rain, which helps when you live in the Pacific NW and like to ride year round.

For me... if you don't do track days or ride at mach 1 on the road then I can't see the point of anything softer or sportier than sports touring tyres.
Many on here like the pireli angels, I like the bridge T30's - more than enough for me.

As above, Tiz a personal thing and buy what gives you confidence...
