Hi everyone. New to this forum. Not got a Aprilia yet but hope to get one soon. Been doing trackdays for a year now on an 97 Firblade but fancy something different. Intrested in a 2005 RSV Factory at a dealer near me but not sure about the cans. They look great sweeping up under the seat but can't get from the dealer if I can stick DB killers in them for track days. Not seen bike in the flesh yet but all I know is the cans have "GFR" on them. A web search had drawn a blank so far. Anyone know anything about them! Cheers Colin.

Just to correct a mistake above, it's "GPR" and not GFR. Found their web site. Look like very noisey cans!!

They are fairly noisy but so are any aftermarket cans on a rsv. You should be able to get baffles for them. Welcome along btw

Thanks for the welcome. Your either working nights like me or you can't sleep. Guess I won't be to popular with my neighbours when I get home a 6 in the morn!!!

Gpr under seat cans ...very short stumpy so noisy....but you should be able to buy ebay db killers to quieter them down .....but may affect performance ,

To swap out you'll be looking at either standard cans so they will be anything from £30-£100

Or after market £100-£400

Some bargains pop up every now and again on ebauy or gumtree

But any short can you'll have trouble meeting trackday noise limits

Welcome along by the way

Taz?I wasn't expecting an Irishman?

Thanks mate. A set of used cans would be the safest option. Seen to many guys turned away at the noise test track side.

Yep on nights as a cabbie. The arrows I run are 104db without baffles and 101db with so I can do cadwell without but pretty much everywhere else I have to put them in. The standard cans run around 100db but I'd opt for aftermarket and baffle them for the weight saving.
