Hi, been browsing the forum for the last few weeks so i guess its time to introduce myself. Im 28 , cnc machinist in aerospace, and im from birmingham. Just bought an 04tuono racing last week, after having an R last year . Was a great bike but the racing version is a beut! Just trying to set the ohlins up now to get the front more planted, found an old mcn review online with some settings so going to give those a go. Im finding the front not too planted when turning in hard, although my last felt like this. Wondering if its just part of the bike or if it can be dialled out?

Once agin hello everyone , seems a sound forum.

Nice bike same as mine. What's the mileage on it and did u get it for a food price. I've never had any problems with the front end of mine. Feels quite planted. What Tyres are u using on there. I guess the 1st suggestion people will make is drop the forks through the yolks to show 4 rings. Gets more weight over the front.

Love the bike and nice to see a howdo as ya 1st post, rico will be pleased.
Welcome to the forum dude:thumbup

Yeah, its a nice one imaculate condition. The guy i bought it off had ahd the valve clearences checked at 6k so i know its well looked after just after the carbon seat cowl and the aprilia racing exhaust and chip now, Also going to change the boots , its on michelin 2cts, the sports touring ones which dont seem great.

Think ill be getting it up mallory soon, see what its like on track.

They all lose their carbon seats. Forget the racing exhaust as it's road illegal and invalidates your insurance. Just get an after market one and an eprom chip off eBay for next to nothing. Ps what price did u pay

Paid 3850, 7k on the clock. im on 2 rings showing at the moment on the front forks, so i was thinking of dropping the yokes a bit , ill try 3 rings first i think. Never really had too on any other bikes.

Had a good run on her today just over 200 miles.

Bridgenorth, Craven arms, newtown leominster. Im sure a few of you know that run.

Not really to fusssed about road legal or not, not really into cheap cans. Im an engineer by trade so i know you get what you pay for when buying parts, gotta be akropovic of some sort.

Indeed - amazing roads.

Welcome to the zone bache. (ballache..????)

I work over at Goodrich in Wolverhampton

Yeah love that run, always a good test for a new bike, nice and quiet usually. Althougth i noticed the shell grips got some big holes in from the winter! Lucky i was only having a steady run.

Ballache lol, never heard that one before!

Just wondered if bache was short for ballache - obviously not! :biggrin

U had a good deal on that one then. Private sale was it?

We did those roads just 2 weeks ago. Well a few of us did. Gilo came along and then did a few different roads ;)

Yeah but mine did come with the original chip and the exhaust plus a fsh. I guess I've had it over a year now and I did pay 5k for it. Hate to think I'd only get 3750 for it now though. I'd want at least 4500 as there's not a mark on it
