Hi all, from the North East and just got myself a 2002 millie on Friday. Bought a GS Adventure couple of years ago but missed the sports bikes, so this will scratch that itch. Look forward to sifting through the site and reading a lot of your stories and tips. Mark :)

Cheers mate, had it 3 weeks, done full service, done the oil jet swap which made a massive difference, had the suspension set up by a guru which has resulted in a more comfortable ride but still bags of fun. New tyres will make it even better over the coming weeks too. Ordered a Carbon Mivv GP exhaust to go with the Carbon exhaust.

What's general opinion on ratios, 17/42 is standard, 16/42 popular change?

Not too bothered about extra power but will look in to it, maybe over winter.

Well you know, lol. Just been reading more about the collector mod, airbox and eprom you mentioned and am just wondering if I'll need a power commander once i get the new can. They claim just a slip on should be OK.
 
Yeah don't worry too much will work fine.. A new EPROM is £45 from forza aprilia but if you are going to do any other mods wait ..a pc3 isn't needed unless you want to eek out every last bit of power out of it

Changing the can may induce a flat spot hence the modded collectors and EPROM help out

It had to happen, I've spent a fortune so far. I've got that flat spot you were on about but not until I'd took the baffle out. Seems to be running a bit rich but apart from that runs like a dream :) Will get the collector and Eprom sometime soon.
