does anybody of you would buy a bike through eBay??
I've bought some parts... but a bike.ufff..it's a little risky, isn't it?

ive bought 3 bikes from ebay - including my mille that arrives next week. in my experience, even the most honest listings only tell 80% of the story. I try my best to cover myself by getting an hpi report check, being completely anal about service history, and talking to the seller at lengths - you can usually tell if someone is a bit moody if you chat with them.

I also have purchased bikes through ebay, fortunately without incident. This one however, is not only at a dealer, but is the dealer I purchased my last bike from. I highly recommend them.

Have to say that I'm with Sergi on this one. I'd worry too much about buying a bike via e-bay, unless like this particular one it was a dealer advertising. Makes me wonder why they're auctioning it though............... unless they sometimes get more this way than selling through the showroom. The old bidding fever hits and people often spend more than they planned :loser

wow!! what a deal!!! that is too good to pass up...unfortunately, i still have a few lbs to go (thats the deal i made with my wife, dooooh!) so if it is still up for grabs when i meet the mark then it will be mine...(oh yes! IT WILL BE MINE)...
peace shannon...and i really appreciate the lookout...your awsome:thumbup

Well selling it on Ebay means none of the locals are biting on it... just no demand right now of course. A lot of dealers don't know how to market them appropriately so Ebay is the next easiest thing to just letting it sit in the showroom. Being a trade-in they probably will make money off of it as long as someone coughs up 10 g's. Their value drops in half as soon as you roll it out the door. Buying a year old bike is the way to go unless there was some massive technical breakthrough... V4!

Smitherz, have you demo-ed this bike? or do you know about this particular bikes history??? i am starting to get that ITCH...and i might not have a cream in my medical bag to fix this itch...the only thing that would look better than that bike would be ME AS THE OWNER....haha
peace

2,997 miles?? This bike HAS NO HISTORY!! If it looks new then it is =] Run a VIN check with Carfax.com if you have to.... go get it. I'm going for a night ride! Later.

just out of curiosity, does carfax work with bikes? b/c carfax is showing this vin to be an error....hmmmmmm
