Hi everyone

Have just joined the site after having purchased my first Italian sports bike a 2002 RSVR haga replia. Am a firm believer that if your going to do something do it right so in at the deep end.

Have had umpteen litre sports bikes all Japanese but the mille blows me away!!!

What i wanted to ask and am sure its a school boy error....is the a techinque to firing the bike up....have been told when cold choke on full no throttle and thats it...hower a tried that and yes it work but let the choke out to early and the bike stalled i took the choke off an it wouldn't go...have been told once its flooded to leave it for a while and try with no choke but alot of throttle!!

Any advice would be much appreciated

Cheers

pull cold start all the way back leave the throttle then hit the starter soon as it fire's nock the cold start to about 2000 rpm then when the temp hits about 46 nock it off all the way[works on mine]
another way is if you think it's flooded no cold start full throttle then hit the starter but let the throttle off as soon as it fire's and catch it on the cold start if that make's any sense

That's right - but don't labour the starter as you'll knacker the sprag clutch. If it won't start, leave the button alone.
I usually let mine get warmer than that before I knock the fast idle off - especially if I'm going to ride off as they are easy to stall when cold.

Thanks
