Guy's,
Can anyone help, any ideas? Whilst out on my bike (2001 Mille RSV - 12,000 mls) yesterday morning, first ride of the year after a good winter service/ overhaul, it simply cut out, dead. I was just simply cruising along, high gear, few rev's and then the engines dies, all electrics and ignition fine. Managed to coast into a lay by and there I sat (for six hours buts that's another story, I love the AA me!). When turning the ignition back on there was not the usual whir of the fuel pump. All relays, fuses appear to be fine but no noise from the fuel pump. Finally got it back into my garage last night (after six hours stuck in a lay by in the middle of nowhere!), tried the ignition and still no whir from the fuel pump. Came to it this morning turns on the ignition, fuel pump whir's and the bike starts like there is no problem!
Thoughts, comments, gratefully received. I would ask the wife as she seems to know or have an opinion about literally everything under the sun! But even she is stumped.
Cheers
