i disconected my bat to fit my oximiser lead and the clock now reads 00.00am, i done what it says in the hand book to set it, ie i turned the engine off with the kill switch key still in the on position switch in mode position press the starter button to set it, nothing happens, but when i first turn the ignition it says remember to insert your user code is this the prob if so how do i insert the code and what is my code.:confused
 
Yours is a 2nd Gen T,is'nt it?
With the h/bar switch in 'mode' position switch on the ign.Use the select button on the l/h bar switchgear to toggle thru the options.The starter button has fook all to do with it.
 
thanks for that keith thats where im going wrong then i thought the start button was the select button im a thick feker, i must have read the manual wrong thanks again
 
i switched on the ign pushed every but on both ends of bar nothing hapens with the clock, is it my user code that i need to insert first. summat not working
 
The select button is on the front of the l/h switchgear under the h/light flasher.In 'mode',press and hold the select button for about 5 secs.You should get an options screen.Use the select button again to toggle down the options.Select 'settings' and then 'time adjustment'.Each time holding the select button down to get to the next stage.
You should be able to ignore the user code,unless the PO has set it up.If so,I'm not sure how you get around it.Someone like Griff at Aprilia Performance could probably help there.
 
the time is now set, they hid the button from me put it on the other side of the bar where i couldnt see it, sorted now with a bit of help thanks keith
 
this is a good addition to "twatty things I've done" thread created by some ****-wad thinking his bike was dead when in actual fact ... he'd got the kill switch engaged

i know where your coming from newelly. when i open a draw at home to find something, if it doesent jump out and bite me i cant find it, just like my button.

found that one lastnite no probs, its got a bit of hair on it rico, and the gas works just behind.
 
Two in the goo and one in the poo is how SWMBO seems tae like it... And her button is easily found thank Christ. It's the only way tae keep her happy and off my back!
