Hi guys, I'm hoping somebody here will be able to help me. I'm still trying to setup the suspension on my recently purchased 02 rsv r and I can't get the static sag anymore than about 5mm. I suspect the spring is too stiff or too long. The number on the spring is 1092-29/90 which I know equates to a length of 170mm and a spring rate or 90nm. My question to you (the very knowledgable members of this forum) is this spring the correct length? Secondly, the rebound damper adjusting dial doesnt seem to have a 'positive' click when wound up or down - although the damping does still change when the dial is moved. Will this require the shock being sent away or is this fixable by yours truly?

All advice much appreciated.

cheers

Martin

When you lose the click on the adjusters it's usually because the nitrogen gas has leaked out.
Mine did exactly the same thing and Mark at MH racing said the gas pressure pushes in the spring mech that makes the clicking.

Time for a shock service i think.

Thanks for the replies guys, you have confirmed my thoughts and my wallet has just run away to hide! :( i weigh in at 15 stone in my buffday suit, any suggestions on best spring for it or does anyone have one kicking around?

I will have a standard spring in a few weeks as my shock is going in for a respring (I'm a fat bastard) and service....depends how quick you need it?

ooooooooooooo! Dibs! :D (although I'm not exactly a lightweight either) Just let me know when it's available. Cheers!
