HELP- broken down on a14, advice needed

Morning, enroute to a trackday at rockingham my 06 rsv won't fire up. Left Kent a few hours ago and was perfect. Pulled over in a layby on the a14 to stretch my legs and it won't fire up. It turns over once then I hear what sounds like a realy clicking loudly under the rear right hand side fairing ( to the rear right hand side of the battery) I've got rac on their way, anyone got any ideas?

The clicking sounds like the solinoid, Pressing the starter engages the soloniod but if the battery is low or soloniod on its way out, you get the clicking

Is the battery low?

You need a jump start probably

There were threads about these starting problems on here but they have all gone for now
 
sounds like a jump start is needed -mine did the same ended up getting a new battery and solenoid and kick stand sensor,still plays up - have you tried disconnecting the tip over sensor? where abouts are you?
 
Check ya battery terminals....make sure they are tight......and as said above, ya may need a new battery
 
Hi Mate, i had the same problem on my previous 2001 Rsv and had to cahnge the solenoid which cured the problem. Hope this helps?
 
thanks for the comments gents. Looks like the battery dcidd to go belly up thanks to the cold weather

From what I understand a popular mod is to fit a 14v battery instead of 12v, if you're getting a new one anyway might be worth looking at. I'm going for a 14v gel battery when mine fry's itself
 
Butch had the same problem with his could be the generator on the way out possibly , hope you get sorted. Butch's Mille got griffted!!

I think I've got that wrong, maybe its a 14 a/h battery thats a recommended mod, can anyone confirm or deny???
