i was travelling back to germany on my 06 RSV from millersvr69 gaff last night/this morning and all was sweet until i was passing through belgium..:dunno

I was steady away at 160kph, when the neutral light suddenly came on and the engine just died - there was no nashing or grinding of teeth - she was still in gear cos i could feel the engine braking- it was like an immobiliser kicked in or something - got her over to the side - all lights ok except neutral light constantly on and was doing a weird flickering every 2-3 secs - even with a gear selected the neutral light still remains on and does the weird flickering every 2-3 secs.
bike will not turn over at all and no wrrr of a fuel pump at ignition turn on just a weird ticking - she had a new battery fitted 4 days ago.

A belgian mechanic and a german mechanic had a quick look - but i dont think they had a clue to be honest, the belgian found a depressed pin - pin 40in the large plug under the seat cowl, he rectified this to no avail - after 2 tow trucks and alot of fecking about i got home 10 hours later - she's 3 on 1 may so hopefully under warranty - i am off to bed now but any advice would be appreciated!!
cheers
Len

if millersvr69 says its got something to do with my MASSIVE german plate i'll throttle him!:nana

Has to be a chafed neutral wire that has shorted to earth or a failed neutral switch that is causing you fuel pump not to prime.

However, the fact that the neutral lamp is flickering as described could be that it may be an ECU of diode pack issue.

Personally I would go down the route of checking the neutral switch is OK then the wiring is all intact.

I take it that the fuses have been checked?

PS. Not forgetting that these bikes have some alarm and Immobiliser issues.
