Help 15 months off!!!!!!

Gents, after my rsv sitting in my back garden for a massive 15 months not being started once, im getting her back on the road. im concerned about my tyres they were new before this 15 month break do I need new ones?:dunno

If it was on paddock stands front & rear they will be OK if not :dunno do they appear to have flat spots

Speaking as one of the 5%, I would replace the tires. The real question is, what are you gonna haul all that rust away with after 15 months of life in your garden?:biggrin

Funny thing rubber. It naturally degrades especially if exposed to uv light. Even if it's been covered up the hoops will still degrade. If you're just tootling to and from work then they'd be fine but if you're a wanna be TT hero I'd be a tad cautious

Preferably they [your tires] are the only part of your bike that you want to touch the floor, that makes them kinda important. So if I were you, dust off that wallet at the same time as the mille and put some new hoops on it :thumbup
