Hi all,
I am new to this site, and to the Aprilia world... I have been riding bikes for nearly 12yrs...but this is my 1st Aprilia.

I traded in my 04 Kawasaki ZZR1200 for a 2006 RSV1000 last Tuesday evening, and I am really happy with its looks and handling:biggrin.
Although it is an 06 reg, with only 2000miles on it, it is the 2001 model bike.

I am enjoying this site already, flicking through all the threads etc.

The bike has an 2006 reg. plate, but it is a 2001 model...

your bike has probably been sat around and not registered till 2006

Its illegal to put a newer reg plate than the vehicles registration date!
seams strange to me i may be missing something but a manufacturer wouldn't register an older model!

but what do i know like i said i could be wrong, just ride it and love it mate!
 
welcome mate have lots of fun your bike was not registerd untill 2006 thats why it on 06 plate you cant put a newer plate on a bike that has been registerd befour:thumbup
